Meet the team
No idea is too big or too small for our talented team, whose creativity, passion and attention to detail is second to none in the industry.
- Hi, I’m Neil, the Founder and Managing Director of plannd.
I’ve worked in the events industry in Northern Ireland for over 15 years, but have been planning events for family and friends pretty much since I was old enough to put pen to paper! Being the ‘organiser’ has always been natural for me, and there is nothing I love more than bringing people together to share an experience.
After starting my career in the Coca-Cola events team and then working for global events agency MCI, I could ignore my entrepreneurial instincts no longer and set up ND Events.
That was in 2014 and I’ve never looked back… I’m so proud of the events we’ve created, the clients we’ve worked with and the continued growth and success we’ve enjoyed.
In September 2021 it was time for ND Events to evolve… enter plannd! We’re the same creative and energetic team, but with a new name and more enthusiasm than ever to continue innovating and leading the way in this exciting industry.
In case you haven’t already realised – I love creating events but I must admit I’m particularly passionate about those with a lot of production. It’s hard to resist the excitement of lights, camera, action!
- Hi, Kathryn here, I have been working in the events industry for 10 years now. I love working in such a fast paced, creative and dynamic industry. My experience started with a global events agency before moving into event technology to extend my knowledge base.
Recognising my passion lay with the overall event management process, I joined ND Events (now plannd) to work more closely with clients on every aspect of their event. Having seen the events industry grow and adapt over 10 years, it makes me even more passionate about the events we put together in Northern Ireland. Along with incredible clients, we have some amazing venues, world class food and breath-taking experiences to enjoy and I love bringing events to life for our clients.
- My events management story began when I started to volunteer for charity events throughout university, both in Belfast and back home on the Isle of Man. I was fascinated by the buzz, the people and the sheer level of organisation each and every event took to create. I was soon ready to follow a fundraising path of my own and took my first events job in community fundraising, developing fun and inspiring events for one of the UK’s leading charities.
When I realised that I was eager to extend my repertoire of events, I moved into the corporate event world and spent three years at Legal Island, running events from workshops and seminars to conferences and awards ceremonies.
As the world took a turn and transitioned to digital events, I found myself in my element even more! Having always been fascinated by the technology and AV at events, I was quick to delve into the world of digital and soon built up an extensive portfolio of online events and new skills, including managing multiple new digital platforms.
Five years of events management experience later and I am thrilled to be part of the team at plannd. Being able to manage both digital events and in person events within my job is the icing on the lemon drizzle cake for me – and I can’t wait to help you manage yours!
- Hi there, I’m Padraig, one of the Event Coordinators here at plannd.
Through my 6 years of working in the hospitality industry in bars and nightclubs throughout Belfast I found an interest and love for events. From seeing small club nights and big gigs being run week in and week out, I knew I wanted to work within the events industry! It is the variety of amazing characters, venues and styles of events that make it such a wonderful and vibrant sector to work in.
I have recently just graduated from Ulster University with First Class Honours in BSc Leisure & Events Management with a Diploma in Professional Practice. During my placement year at Ulster, I had the pleasure of working with the Industry Development team at Tourism Northern Ireland as the Corporate Events Assistant and gained a wealth of experience that I will only develop and expand on with plannd.
I started with the team in September 2021, and I have loved every minute in my role working with the team and our amazing clients on a range of in person and virtual events. I am excited as ever to continually grow my skillset and deliver amazing events.
